6th EVALUATIVE LESSON PLAN

 Introduction
(2min)

Greets the students, asks if someone else is coming to the lesson, checks attendance and starts the lesson.


Greet the teacher and answer her questions.



To create a friendly atmosphere.

Setting plan       (5min)

Teacher introduces the plan of the lesson. They are going to check their HW, then they will learn how to assess good and bad points in reports and they will start working on module self-assessment of units 10-12.

Students listen to their teacher carefully.

To introduce lesson plan to the students.

To make them interested into the lesson.

Checking HW
(13min)






Teacher asks to open their books at page 154 where they had to do exercises 2 and 3. In the first exercise they had to match facts with generalisations and in the second they had to read the two models of survey report and say which one is good and which one is bad. Also, they had to explain why and find examples in the texts.

Students answering the first exercise one by one by matching facts with generalisations. Then 1 student reads model A and another student reads model B. Then teacher and students discuss the main points which were right and wrong. They evaluate both texts.  

To check students understanding of survey reports.

To check whether they understand the general layout of survey reports.

If students didn’t do their HW, they have to do it at the lesson (teacher gives about 5-7min for them to do the exercises).

Teacher presents a new topic: assessing good and bad points in the reports. She writes down the main points on the blackboard and asks students to put it down in their notebooks. She explains the general layout of such a report and gives examples. What is more, she mentions the most important things, e.g. which tenses are used, what kind of linking words are in these reports, what are useful phrases, etc.

Students listening to the teacher attentively and putting down everything from the blackboard to their notebooks.

To introduce how to assess good and bad points in reports, give an example.

To give a general knowledge of a new topic.

Production
   (13min)










































Teacher asks to open books at page 156 where students will find a module self-assessment (units 10-12). She asks to do the exercise 1 where they have to choose the correct item. She gives them 3 min to do the exercise. After they do the exercise she asks to read the answers out loud.

Then teacher says to look at the exercise 2 where they have to fill in the correct word(s) from the list below. Teacher gives 3 min to do this exercise.





After the exercise 2, teacher asks to look at the exercise 3 where they have to fill in the correct particle(s). She says that they will do this exercise together without preparation.

Then teacher says to do the exercise 4. She asks to do it together without preparations again.





Students open their books at particular page and do the exercise 1. After they do it, they read it one by one and out loud.








Students do the exercise. Then when they are done – read it one by one.







Students read the sentences and insert appropriate particles.





Students read the exercise and fill in the correct prepositions.





To check students’ knowledge of vocabulary.

To check how they learnt new words from units 10-12.






To check students’ vocabulary understanding.

If students do not understand some of the words, then teacher translates them before doing the exercise.

If students do not manage to do all the exercises in the classroom, then they have to finish at home.

Setting HW

Teacher asks to do exercises 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 at home.
