 Introduction
  (2min)

Greets the students, asks if someone else is coming to the lesson, checks attendance and starts the lesson.


Greet the teacher and answer her questions.



To create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Checking HW
   (3min)


Teacher asks students to open their grammar books at page 119 and read the HW exercise 4.




After they check their HW teacher presents the lesson plan.


Students read one by one their HW exercise

To check if students work individually.

To check students’ understanding of the topic.

If students don’t have their HW then teacher writes minuses and asks them to do it at the classroom.

Presentation
    (15min)

Teacher writes down all types of comparisons on the blackboard and asks students to put it down in their notebooks as well. Also, she writes examples for each type of comparisons.

When students finished writing, teacher goes to the blackboard and explains every type of comparisons. Also, she asks students whether they understood it or no.


Students write down everything from the blackboard to their notes.




Students listen attentively and carefully. If they don’t understand something – they ask.

To present types of comparisons.







To explain the new topic, to give examples.

Practice
   (14min)






Teacher asks students to open their Grammar books at page 120 and asks to do exercise 7 where they have to fill in the blanks with the correct comparative or superlative. She gives approximately 4minutes to do it.

After they do the exercise teacher asks them to read the answers out loud. (2min)

Then teacher asks to look at the exercise 9 at the same page. She asks students to read it out loud. (~2min)

After they read the exercise, teacher asks to look at the exercise 10 where they have to fill in the blanks. She gives 4min to do the exercise.

Then teacher asks to read the answers out loud. (~2min)


Students do the exercise.

Students do the exercise. They can use their books, grammars and notebooks because it is not a test.

Setting HW

Teacher asks students to put down their HW tasks into their notebooks. They have to do exercises 8, 11 and 12 at page 121 from Grammar books and exercise 8 at page 151 from books.

Students listen carefully and put down their HW tasks.

Presentation
   (9min)




Teacher writes down the rules of like/as usage. She asks students to do the same and put down everything what she writes on the blackboard in their notebooks.

Then teacher explains the usage of like and as.


Students carefully write down the rules in their notebooks.





Students listen to the teacher if something is not clear they can ask.


To present another topic: the usage of like/as.






To explain the topic and make sure that students understand it.

If they cannot finish on time, they will continue the next lesson.

Evaluation
  (1min)

Teacher reminds what they have learnt today. Also, she repeats what they have to do for their HW and then wishes a good weekend.

Students thank for the teacher and wish her a good weekend too. Then they can go.

To give in-class feedback about the lesson and create a pleasant atmosphere.

To remind that they have to do some practice work.
