2nd EVALUATIVE LESSON PLAN

Aims:  1) to discuss compositions about means of transport
2) to introduce the usage of adjectives or their comparative or superlative forms in
            particular structures and practice how to use those structures
            3) to make an introduction to types of comparisons

 Introduction
  (2min)

Greets the students, checks attendance and starts the lesson.


Greet the teacher.



To create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Production       (10min)

Teacher gives students their compositions about means of transport and discuss about their mistakes and marks which they have got.

Students check their compositions. Also, they ask if something is not clear. Then teacher explains.  

To give feedback to the students.

If students are not happy or satisfied about their marks, teacher asks them to approach her after the lesson.

Teacher explains what they are going to do in the lesson. Also, she introduces the aims of this lesson.


Students listen carefully.

To raise students’ interest into the lesson.

Presentation
   (15min)















Presents a topic: usage of adjectives or their comparative or superlative forms in particular structures. Then she writes particular structures and examples on the blackboard. While she is writing she asks students to copy it to their notebooks because they will need it to study at home for the test which they will write next week.

After the students copy everything from the blackboard, teacher reads all the structures out loud and explains its usage.

If something is not clear, teacher can explain in Lithuanian, give more examples.

   Practice
   (10min)




Teacher asks students to open their books at page 150 and look at the exercise 5 where they have to choose the correct structure. She gives approximately 3 minutes to do the task.

After they finished teacher asks students to read one by one the answers (2min).





After they check the exercise teacher asks to open their grammar books at page 119 and look at the exercise 5 where they have to choose the correct structure. She gives about 3 minutes to do the task.

When they are through the exercise teacher asks them to read it out loud.

Students write down the answers.







Students read the answers one by one and out loud.






Students work individually.









Students again read their answers out loud and one by one.


To encourage students to work individually.






To check whether they understand the topic.

To involve all the students in learning process.



If students don’t understand something then teacher explains once again.

If they don’t know the correct answer teacher lets them to use all the material they have because it is not a test.

If students are correct then teacher praise them.

Introduction
   (5min)

Teacher begins another topic: types of comparisons. Again she writes down types of comparisons on the blackboard and asks students to copy everything in their notebooks.  

Students copy the rules into their notebooks.

To introduce a new topic: types of comparisons.



If they don’t manage to do everything till the end of the lesson, they will continue the next lesson.
