 Introduction
(2min)

Greets the students, asks if someone else is coming to the lesson, checks attendance, asks how their weekend was, wishes happy Valentine’s day and starts the lesson.


Greet the teacher and answer her questions.

Setting plan
  (3min)

Introduces the lesson plan to the students. They will check HW exercises and this way they will revise adjectives, adverbs, comparisons because the next lesson they will write a test.

Checking HW
   (20min)

Teacher asks students to open their books at page 151 and look at the exercise 8. Then she asks to read it out loud.


Teacher praise students for the good work and asks to open their grammar books at page 120. She asks to look at the exercise 8.






After they check the exercise teacher asks to look at the exercise 11 at page 121.






Teacher asks to look at the last HW exercise 12 at page 121.

Students read one by one and out loud.




Students read the exercise out loud.










Students prepare to read the exercise. They read one by one.

To check whether students understand the usage of as and like.


To check whether students are able to rephrase given sentences using types of comparisons.

Evaluation
   (8min)






Teacher stands up in front of the class and reminds what they will have in their test. Then she gives a brief overview of the grammar. They have to repeat types of comparisons, adjectives or their comparative or superlative forms which are used in particular structures, superlative and comparative forms of adjective, how to replace adjective into adverb and irregular forms of adjectives. Also, she gives the basic endings of the words and basic rules which they have to know.


Students repeat everything briefly with their teacher.




To revise briefly unit 12 grammar from which they are going to write a test.


If students do not understand some points, teacher should explain it again and make it clear for the whole class.

   (10min)




















Teacher asks students to open their grammar books at page 122 where they will do a key transformation exercise. First of all, she asks to analyse the examples with types of comparisons and then do the exercise. She asks to do 4 sentences and then check together. Then again 4 sentences and check together and so on. This way students will be able to work quickly while using a table with examples.

Students do the exercise while using a table with examples. Then they check all the sentences together with the teacher reading one by one.


To check students’ understanding of types of comparisons.

To check students’ ability to work quickly with the given material.

Setting-HW
   (2min)

Teacher thanks for the lesson and again reminds that tomorrow they are writing a test and they should repeat some grammar rules at home. She wishes a good day and students may go.  

Students listen to their teacher, and then wish her a good day too.
