Teacher gives new books to the students which are called “Mission 2”. Then she asks to open books at page 6 and look at the pages. How do they think, what they will talk about this lesson?

Then teacher gives questions to each student. E.g. Do you have a pet? If you don’t have, would you like to have? What are the names of your pets? Why do people keep pets? Etc.

Teacher asks students to look at the text called “Animal Magic”. Then she shows them a reading task. While they will be reading and translating the text, they have to choose the most suitable heading from the list A-I for each part (1-7) of the article. Then teacher makes sure that everybody understands.

After that she asks each student to read one paragraph out loud and translate it into Lithuanian. After they read it and translate, all students are trying to find the most suitable heading for the article.

Teacher asks students’ opinion about this kind of pet therapy. Do they agree or not? Why not? Why yes? Etc.

Then teacher asks students to look at the exercise where they can see the summary of the magazine article “Animal Magic”. There are some missing words which they have to insert. So teacher asks students to read 1 sentence each.

Students get new books and open page 6. Then they answer that they will talk about animals today.

Students answer teacher’s questions, try to develop a conversation.

Students carefully listen to their teacher and look at the task.

Students read one by one. Each student gets 1 paragraph to read and translate. After that his/her classmates help him/her to find the appropriate heading.

Students discuss about the text.
